We are always grateful for you donations, however, we can only accept donations in good condition. To make the process easier, here’s a list of what we can and can’t accept:

Volunteer With Us!

Volunteers are the backbone of our store’s operations, and we love how many people donate their time to our cause. 

Join our volunteer team, and you can work alongside the long-term community members that have volunteered with us for years, our excellent staff, and the Pegasus Community Project participant volunteers. See below for specific openings:

As a general volunteer, you’ll be helping with The Pegasus Shoppe’s day-to-day operations, and interacting with the public. Duties may change from day to day, so you’ll never be bored! Duties include:

  • Sorting and moving donations/inventory
  • Customer Service
  • Operating the cash register and general cash handling
  • Assisting to keep the store clean and organized
  • Answering phones
  • Other duties as needed

Think you’re a good fit? Here’s what we’re looking for!

  • Comfortable working with customers/the public
  • Comfortable using a cash register (will be trained)
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Can work independently/with little supervision
  •  Comfortable working alongside people of all abilities, including adults with developmental disabilities
  • Able to carry bags and boxes (up to 20 lbs)
  • Able to stand for 4 hours at a time (preferred)
  • Good at following instructions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
