Welcome

The Pegasus Thrift Store

is one of only a few remaining small independent Thrift Shops in Toronto - we make shopping an adventure!

Our store sells high quality donated goods at fabulous prices.  Check out our hip jeans, great accessories - shoes, purses, jewelry and wide selection of housewares - from everyday useful to rare collectibles.

Merchandise changes daily, so if you don't find what you are looking for today - you'll find it here tomorrow.  There is quite literally something for everyone on your shopping list.

Our Thrift Store is an exciting little second hand shop where treasures of all sorts abound, including wonderful, well-priced clothing. All the goods are donated by our friends and neighbours and it is operated by volunteers, Pegasus participants and staff. The opportunity for participants to work at the store adds another dimension to our regular service offerings and supplements other vocational experiences in the community.

We also have unique handcrafted items from the Pegasus Studio program designed with the gift market in mind. All year long you can purchase gifts that give back... from our Studio line; greeting cards and lovely beaded bookmarks, baking mixes, soaps and one of a kind birdhouses.  These are attractive and well made by our participants and volunteers.

Making a Donation

Please drop off donations during store hours. It is best not to leave the items outside our door overnight.

We accept: household items, jewelry, antiques, books, treasures, gently used clothing, CDs, DVDs, kidís clothing, toys and books

We do not accept: sports equipment, furniture or electronics (exception: CD player, DVD player or IPad/Ipod). Did you know that the City of Toronto picks up electronics from you curb. Put them out beside your garbage bin on garbage day and they will be recycled.

Pegasus Thrift Store: A Social Enterprise

The Pegasus Thrift Store and gifts that give back... are social enterprises that offer opportunities to positively affect the lives of people with disabilities and those without. These two enterprises exist to further the work of Pegasus Community Project for Adults with Special Needs.

What is a Social Enterprise?

A social enterprise is a business that exists to make a direct positive social and/or environmental impact on the world. It is innovative and unique because:

A social enterprise aims to make a profit, and then use these profits to support its charitable, social and/or environmental goals.

A social enterprise also provides products and services that further these charitable, social and/or environmental goals.

When a consumer purchases a product or a service from a social enterprise, he or she makes a tangible, positive impact (for reference, click here).
